HARPTREE COURT WITH CANOPY & STARS

Ever wondered what it would be like to sleep under the stars, curling up in a colourful gypsy caravan or high up in the branches of giants? Maybe venturing out of a safari tent bare foot to sink into your own private bath tub overlooking a small lagoon or staying in a quirky reconditioned horsebox amongst fields of corn? Sounds dreamy doesn't it. Well a few weeks back I was invited to a wonderful blogger event at Harptree Court with Canopy & Stars; the holiday company that specialises in unique stays and creating wonderful memories in some of the most unusual glamping properties around.

On arrival we entered the Georgian property that stands amongst acres of lush grounds nestled in the Chew Valley and indulged in coffees, teas and homemade lemon cake. We took in the grandeur of the building, which has been the set of series three and four of the Great British Bake Off, and had a quick tour of the rooms available to stay in before exploring the gardens.

The beautiful house and gardens holds a secret within its grounds, amongst the wild walled garden, ornamental lily pond and picturesque driveway, you'll find a luxury stay high up in the branches. Yes that's right, a treehouse to envy all childhood dreams and a place to call home for the night. After wandering through the gardens and cooing over the beautiful blooms, we made our way up the steps through the leaves and across the wrap round verander to the thoughtfully furnished property, with its cosy interior, log fire and enormous copper bath tub, giving the feel of a luxury hotel in the trees.

If a night surrounded by leaves is not for you then why not channel your inner nomad with a stay in the Harptree Court Yurt? This three dome yurt is so much more than a tent, furnished with antique Georgian pieces, a roll top bath and hidden dishwasher, this space is perfect for a luxury stay with a twist in the beautiful countryside.

We were invited back to the house for a scrumptious lunch, which of course means we all stood around taking photos of the food before we tucked in, and took part in What's In Your Bag quiz, to see what kind of adventure would suit us best, not surprisingly I got True Romantic and loved seeing the suggested properties to match my style.

How fun is this floating cabin with it's Huckleberry Finn feel or these amazing unearthly Domes in Spain with retro furniture and an outdoor cinema! I also loved the look of this modernist tree house in and this Round House.

The great thing about Canopy & Stars is there is something for everyone and each property has been reviewed by the team, ensuring quality and quirkiness. I'm very excited to have been chosen to be part of the Canopy & Stars Collective and look forward to sharing some of my stays in their exciting and unusual properties with you on the blog. If you fancy a wild adventure or a cosy nook to stay in  then take a peek at the collection and create some magical memories.

*Thanks to Harptree Court and Canopy & Stars for a wondeful day out.
