CITY SKATE PARK ADVENTURES

After seeing how engrossed F was by the skaters in Paris and his sudden interest in getting a skateboard for his fourth birthday, I thought it would be a fun free day out to take him to the local skate park with his scooter in tow. I couldn't have picked a better day, the sun was shining, magnolia trees blossomed and filled the skyline as we wandered our way down through Clifton Wood to reach the Harbour Ferry Crossing. Passing my old flat on the way brought back memories, while F ran ahead creating new ones as he explored his new surroundings. Excitedly we waited for the Ferry and exchanged our 80p to cross over the river into South Bristol and headed on foot to Dame Emily Park and the vivid graffitti covered skate park.

PARIS IN PICTURES // KID IN THE CITY // PART TWO

Sifting through the gazillion images we took, I can't quite believe how long ago this trip was and how much I feel like I'm in need of another holiday already. Here's Paris in Pictures Part One for those of you who missed it.

PARIS IN PICTURES // KID IN THE CITY // PART ONE

It's officially over a week since I've been back in the comforts of home rather than the luxuries of our Parisian bolt hole and it's taking some getting used too. Forgotten are the lazy mornings, slow wakes and gentle starts to the day, being replaced by the stark reality of beeping alarms, mad dashes and to do lists. After such a long awaited return to the city of light, I must admit it didn't disappoint. We arrived seamlessly at Gare du Nord fresh faced and full of smiles from our train journey, lugging our bags into the back of a taxi we headed for our first stop, our home away from home.
