FRIENDSGIVING DINNER IN STYLE // INTERIOR INSPIRATION

friendsgiving dinner in style
Ok so technically I'm not American and I don't celebrate Thanks Giving, but I am always up for a good party and after recently seeing the phrase Friendsgiving being thrown around the Internet, I thought it would be fun to put together a little interior inspiration to host a dream dinner party.

Yep just think of it, a beautifully laid table, cocktails flowing, dreamy lighting and maybe a celebrity or two thrown in for good measure, oh I can imagine it now. I love the idea of adopting the this national holiday, not for its traditional sense but for a time to come together with friends and appreciate all the love around the table *cue the violins*.

I love the idea of a loft apartment with beautiful high ceilings and grey herringbones floors over looking the rooftops of Paris. Perfect place for a soiree.

I think a dark moody interior would look stylish with touches of gold, perfect for an intimate dinner party. I love these gold menus as a personal touch.

Bringing in muted flowers and botanical greens would add a touch of warmth to a dinner party like this. Think grey candles, gold finishes, glitter – obviously – and splashes of colour in the cocktails and canapés served.

I do love a bit of Ercol so this dining table would work well, especially if teamed with long stools or perhaps some metallic chairs to compliment the design.

Who would be on the guest list? Well it would be a tough time choosing celebrities to grace a table filled with friends, but I've narrowed in down to David Bowie due to his sheer amazingness, David Lynch as it would be incredible to meet a man with such creativity – hello Twin Peaks!! – and style icon Jane Birkin, who would have some delicious stories to to tell over cocktails.

  1. Love this idea & your styling choices! Been thinking about thanksgiving - I know it's not the intention, but for us, I wondered if it may be a nice way to create a secondary celebration that takes the stress & pressure out of Christmas x

  3. Any excuse for a party or just a nice get-together with friends sounds good to me. Love your board and dinner guests (is it me or does that pic of David Lynch look a bit like Melvyn Bragg?) xx
