Before I jumped on the tube I headed across the road from our apartment for a cheeky snap of the luxurious Rosewood Hotel just because it is just so beautiful and even made friends with the this handsome chap before I made my way across London.
Laura Ashley is one of those of brands that I've always been familiar with, as a child I could always find something from their range in our home, whether it be a blanket to snuggle up with or the soft leather armchair which my parents still have in their lounge today. Being one of the world's best loved home and furnishing brands sets a high standard for the company to live up to and they didn't disappoint
The spring/summer show was refreshingly light and vibrant, with a very scandi-chic feel to the collection. I loved all the light wood, recycled glass, woven fabrics, outdoor accessories and the detailing on their ladies fashion wear.
I'm happy to see Laura Ashley embracing some of the DIY trends that you can find online with their new furniture paint and varnish range. From January you'll be able to buy these gorgeous Elgin Spindle Leg Table and Spindle Back Chair and get creative with their paints, customising it to fit in with your style, I think these would look great with Pale French Grey paint.
I was totally in love with their lighting range, especially the Perranporth Pendant with its stunning simplicity and clean lines, and this beautiful Chiddingfold Recycled Glass Base which would the prefect reading light.
I was also excited by their SS15 wardrobe, with bright colours, bold print and beautiful detailing, as you can see on the back of this white cotton shirt, giving the perfect summer look. I remember thinking that only older women would wear their clothes but I love how you can take any piece and style it to suit you breaking any misconceptions about the brand. Take this pearl pink parka, It would look great with some leather skinny jeans, a chunky grey knit and some black boots. I can't wait to update my wardrobe and get some key pieces from their new collection.
For now though I have my eye on this winter warmer.
