I just wanted to write a quick post to say a huge thank you for all those who voted for me in the MAD Blog Awards 2014 nominations. For those who don't know much abut the MADs they're a pretty massive deal in the blogging world, think London, award ceremony, after party and you're getting the picture. This year 200,000 nominations were entered and only 75 blogs reached the finals, and one of them was me! I still can't quite believe it and keep thinking back to Sunday night when a text came through from a friend congratulating me. At first I was baffled, then shocked and even when I re-read the finalist list for the seventh time, I was still pinching myself in disbelief. But yep there it was, Wild & Grizzly, a finalist in the Best Family Fun category.
I started this blog a year ago as a personal diary, moments collected and strung together to capture our story. It was something I had thought about starting for a while but only put into action after the miscarriage of our second child. After suffering a loss I wanted to be sure that I remembered this time, my boy growing before my eyes as time rushed by. A labour of love, this little piece of the web is like an old friend, a place I can flex my creativity, share stories, document F and seek refuge when things get tough. Over the last year I have met many amazing people through blogging, both online and off, and it has opened doors I didn't know existed.
Voting is now open for the finalists and you can find Wild and Grizzly in the Best Family Fun category. So here's my shameless ask for help, if you could spare a few minutes to vote for my blog and get me one step closer to winning I would be over the moon. You can vote
here and find me in the drop down menu for Best family Fun. Please take a minute to check out some of the other blogs in the categories as there's some great read there.
Wild & Grizzly is about the wild adventures of motherhood, including the grizzly bits; Life in the city, design, travel, pretty things and going slow, all without compromising on style. We hope you enjoy the ride.
