BODEN SPRING BLOOMS TOUR IN BRISTOL

If you're a Boden fan girl then you may have noticed a big green bus making its way around various cities last week over on their social media! Yes the Boden Spring Blooms tour with Bloom & Wild hit the streets of Bristol last Friday and I couldn't miss a chance to say hey to the lovely Boden peeps and Bristol bloggers, while checking out a few select pieces from their Spring collection.

Did I mention the amazing green double decker bus?! Yes parked in the heart of the city centre Boden has teamed up with beautiful concept florist, Bloom & Wild, to create a flower workshop on the lower deck while transforming the top deck into a mini Boden showroom, complete with changing room.

FLIRTY SUMMER SKIRT WISH LIST // MAMA STYLE

Now that my legs have seen the sun and I'm no longer sporting my bottle white pins I've been getting rather excited about skirts, not that you can't embrace the natural winter leg look of course, I just don't manage to pull it off somehow. So yes, long ones, short ones, and all those in between, I'm embracing your blue denims, flirty pastels and perfect patterns and making space for you in my wardrobe. So when I saw that Boden had a sale on I couldn't help but pull together this flirty summer skirt wish list.

1. For those who know me this pattern was designed for me! I've totally fallen for this Emilie Pencil Skirt.
2. I like this cute full and fun multi-stripe skirt.
3. I'm loving the Harlequin playful pattern on this pencil skirt, perfect teamed with pumps.
4. Oh my! This scallop-esque patterned fun skirt remind me of summer as a teen.
5. Pretty much a wardrobe staple, a denim midi teamed with a white vest top for the perfect summer vibe.
6. This pretty Broderie skirt would go perfectly with my simple leather strap sandals that I took to France and may have just fallen into my *ahem* shopping basket.

MAMA STYLE // BODEN BLUE SUEDE BOOTS AND SPRING DRESS

After a week of unsettled weather and even a freak hailstones storm, we were totally spoilt with a super sunny Saturday and it gave me the perfect excuse to try these chic Boden ankle boots with my Hawaiian print spring dress and my new favouite Axel Backpack from Kin. I love a good pair of ankle boots as they're a great transitional piece for changing seasons, and this navy suede shade is perfect for rocking with jeans, dresses and skirts, especially the cute  attention to detail with the exposed zip at the back and neon pink zip liner.

I saw this beautiful blue door on our way for lunch and did an impromptu style shoot which F insisted being part of, checkout his photo bomb style! You can tell he's a bloggers child right? He loves getting in front of the camera.

I got a little carried away and indulged in some good old fashioned twirling for fun which amused F no end and probably made passersby wonder what on earth I was doing, but if you can't twirl in front of a blue door in a flowery dress then when can you ay?! 

The rest of our day was super slow, grabbing a green smoothie from our new favourite health food cafe, Health Hubb – which also run kids classes on nutrition – and heading to the supermarket to grab some goodies for a little Eurovision party at ours. Think 80's cocktail sticks, crisps and dips and you get the idea. I spent the evening drinking rose wine in a glittery playsuit, while shouting out the many random words I'd put down on my Eurovision Bingo card and generally having a giggle. Fun night all round.

F WEARS // KIDS STYLE

The sun has been starting to work its magic and last week I stepped out with this boy dressed ready to welcome spring with a smile, wearing these bright colours from Mini Boden. There's definitely something to be said about creating a bit of sunshine with your clothes and I love how playful this outfit is on F. 

The last few weeks have been a bit manic so I'm pleased to be starting this week on a positive note, I've got back into my fitness regime and healthy eating plus I'm trying to ensure I get enough sleep which always helps calm the mind. I really hope we're in for more messy hair, coatless sunny days.

STEP INTO SPRING WITH BODEN SS15

I've fully embraced winter and I'm oh so excited for Christmas, especially with F writing letters to good old St Nick, saying that I've been secretly thrilled to catch a glimpse of Spring/Summer 2015 trends in the fashion world and I'm already looking forward to a colourful wardrobe next year. 

While in London I was super excited to attend the Boden SS15 collection at their press show, and it couldn't have been better. Think beautiful bright colours, fun patterns, big prints and some amazing twin sets, wooden necklaces and even a leather dress *swoon*.


There's nothing like making a good impression and Boden do just that, on walking in all thoughts of these cold winter nights promptly vanished as I was greeted by a neon pink greenhouse and a horticultural theme in full swing. Brightly coloured flowers stool tall, peep toes wedges and accessories were placed amongst garden tools all laid out on real grass, while cress eggheads smiled cheekily from wall displays – cue me resisting the urge to rush and change into  summer dress while drinking pimms.

After planning the perfect wish list and daydreaming about all the exciting places I could wear these clothes, I took a peek at the children's wear which was equally exciting, no boring clothes for my boy next year! As I arrived late I didn't get a chance to use the wonderful beauty bar that Boden had set up downstairs, and I soon found myself rushing out into the city night trying to hail a cab so I could make a quick change before heading of to the Amara Interior Awards.If you can't wait for their Spring/Summer collection then why not treat yourself to one of these winter warmers with a Boden festive Christmas jumper?
