One of my fave pastimes is pottering around at home, rearranging things and generally creating pockets of pretty in the flat. I'm a visual person so good aesthetics helps me feel calm, happy and generally keeps me positive. So any chance to create a space to sit, chill and be inspired by some of my favourite magazine is ace for me.
my favourite magazines, design magazines, moroccan design, interiors for home, design storageNow that the kiddo has managed to fill my wooden magazine rack with his picture books, I've had to find an alternative spot for my growing magazine collection. I love keeping my latest reads nearby for some quick inspiration, so when I received this super stylish over sized Moroccan plate from online store Postcards Home, I knew exactly what to do with it.

Apart from looking cool on display and being the perfect size for keeping fruit and autumnal finds in the lounge, I'm kinda loving how it looks with my design magazines all piled up. It's always great to find products which are multi-functional *yay* and if you are looking for some inspirations then some of my favourite magazines might be right up your street.

I love using this palm woven plate by bed, it looks great on the old upcylced chest and the twisted woven handles are perfect to carry my stock pile into any room to chill. The quality of the weave is beautiful and it makes a great statement piece. I'm even thinking about hanging it on the wall with other neutral textured pieces to create a dreamy bohemian look, and how cool would it look with this throw!
