"A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2014."

F: Knit love

A tad late but after a fun filled weekend with friends, a little too much sun and endless toasted marshmallows, I'm back to reality with bang. I was excited to go through our camping photos and then this happened. A super little parcel containing a knitted balaclava from grandma, and how he loves it. So here it is, a knitted F; those beautiful big eyes and chunky fringe.

My boy. My Heart officially melted. Bring on the snow.

  1. very cool use of negative space and color (or lack of it). it really does bring out those big beautiful eyes and gives this portrait such an old time feeling :) lovely -Misty

  4. Oh he's such a beauty! My mum knits for all our kids but I've never had a balaclava (I feel I'm missing out). Might have to request one for the winter ;-)

  6. What a lovely little boy he is. One of those pictures you'll see in your head when you think of him for many years to come, I think.

  7. We have one for Talitha from when either Laurence or one of his brothers was a child. I need to make a second one so Talitha can match! F looks so gorgeous here.

    1. Thanks hon, I try to play around with the light when taking the image but then I use snapseed to change the contrast/saturation/brightness of each image depending what I feel they need. So with this it was a white wall, white tee, loads of natural light then changed to B&W and some editing. x
