When I think about why I love Bristol it's not hard to come up with a pretty long list; the architecture, the harbour, cool cafes and pop up restaurant, galleries and art house cinemas, and more all a stones throw from the countryside and a short-ish train ride to London. Yep Bristol has got it going ON! But the best thing about Bristol is the people, the community of creatives who all get together to support, share and inspire and that for me is gold!
Back in the Summer I was invited to a curious and wonderful evening with Yonder Collective. Not knowing what to expect I made my way down to the Salt Cafe Deli only to have my senses wowed and the atmosphere buzzing with a selection of makers and creative peeps chatting away, making new friends and sharing stories. We soon were seated and found ourselves swooning at the beautifully laid tables, each element brought together by a collaboration of individual skills.
This is, in essence, what Yonder Collective is about, founded by the lovely Emma Chapman-Burnett who saw a opportunity to create a platform where idea could be nurtured and explored, the Yonder dinner is the ultimate network evening, styled to perfection.
Lyzi and the most beautiful bespoke hand made terrariums designed for the event by Palyglass it was hard not to be impressed. The whole evening was captured by the very talented photographer and food blogger Kym who kindly allowed me to share her pics here.
We said hi to our neighbouring seats and got acquainted, as the most delicious and delectable canapes made their way around the room by Griffett Catering. The dishes held an air of theatre as we chose a forkful of the freshest and delightful produce from a gardening trowels, and were delighted by smoking boxes of hop flavoured crisps! Before long we moved seats to create new opportunity to discuss ideas and say hello as we enjoyed a lamb main and the cutest dessert.
Later in the evening we heard a few words from Emma and joined in with a little creative drawing workshop, which was both inspiring and fun. The whole evening left me with a buzz as I came away full of ideas and some fab Instagram accounts to follow, it was a great way to find like minded people in my city and surrounding areas.
So I couldn't wait to share the news that the next Yonder Collective Dinner tickets are now live! If you're interested in attending or just fancy a nosey then you can sign up your email for more info.
