INTERIOR COLOUR TRENDS 2015

There's lots of talk about how 2015 will look in terms of interior trends and so far it's set to be an exciting year with some great colours and patterns coming into play. So I thought it would be fun to take a quick look at what's going to be hot this year and how to use them in your home.

Blush Pink

Pink is making a come back in a big way, from accessories to furniture and walls, this spring/summer we're going to be seeing a lot of it. Not ready to redecorate your whole room in pink? then why not buy a few accent pieces to add to your interior. I'm loving this pink room with pops of colour.

Pastels

Love them or hate them they're here to stay. Whenever I think of pastels I always think of Palm Springs and beach houses with a nod back to the modernists designs of the golden Hollywood era. I've added this pastel yellow lamp to F's room to bring some of those Californian colours our home.

Apricots and Peach

These tones are great for accessorizing with this year, think scatter cushions and throws, with some geometric shapes thrown into the mix and pops of colour with statement floor lights. It's a great way to give warm tones to a room without having to redecorate.

Concrete Love

Concrete, this is definitely a favourite of mine and isn't going anywhere fast. From feature walls to furniture and accessories, add a few key pieces and mix with soft furnishing to create a touch of cool and edgy design. I love this simple and elegant concrete candle holder from Jago and natural wood hurricane lantern from Homesense .

Jungle Greens

Essential teal, dark greens and palm prints are going to be huge this summer and you'll see this crossing into fashion as botanical goes big. Think dark walls, bold statement peices and fun accessories for a striking interior and if nerves get the better of you than use calm block colour on cushions to get the look.

Greek Odyssey

Indigos and deep blue will have a place this year, think santorini roof tops and you're on track. These work perfectly with metallics and coppers, which seem to be a firm favourite when it comes to interiors and you can find them pretty much anywhere on the highstreet adding a touch of chic living to your interior.

I'd love to hear what colour has you inspired this year?

  1. A lovely post Lori! I'm always drawn towards grey, but I'm planning to update it with a few spring pastels this year. And I've just bought some concrete vases and candleholders which work well with both, too. I'd love to be braver with colour, though! x

  2. I have to confess that I'm not feeling the concrete vibe. Loving the return of blush pink though! I'm still really liking coppers and bright yellows and royal blues. Although probably not altogether...

  3. Love the blush pink, pink is def one of my fave colours. Unfortunately it's not one of Mr C's though so the chances of getting any into the house are very small! ;) x

  4. I'm really drawn to blush pink at the moment - which is strange because it's not usually a colour I go for at all!
