So I was super excited when the lovely peeps over at Laura Ashley asked whether I would like to host a Customise Christmas Wreath workshop with some of my lovely blogging pals; Fritha, Jessica, Lottie, Adele, Laura and Laura for some Christmas fun, coffee and a catch up. Perfect!
I headed over to The Mockingbird Cafe in Clifton, which is fast becoming my favourite hang out with its all American southern states menu, minimalist interior, industrial lighting, scandi-style wooden tables, leafy ferns and best coffee for miles, and don't get me started on the food! The buttermilk biscuits with chilli jam, homemade granola, pastries and muffins, pulled chicken BBQ subs are oh so delicious.
The morning light blazed through the window, coffee aromas lingered in the air and everyone seemed eager to get started and sample some of the fine food. Each kit contains cinnamon sticks, glittery acorns and fabric flowers amongst other things making it easy to style.
I brought along some additional accessories and the ladies used pompoms, feathers, autumn leaves and ribbons to customise and personalise their wreath. We used beautiful Eucalyptus, Thistles, Dahlia's, Pussy Willows and other pale greens provided by Lloyds Flowers, to style the wreaths and photograph the finished product.
The wreath making kits are currently on sale from £40 down to £21 and I would definitely recommend them as a fun Christmas activity that you can get the family involved in. Plus it's so nice having personalised festive decorations in your home which is suited to your own style.
*Thank you to Laura Ashley, Lloyds Flowers and the Mockingbird Cafe for provided us with such a wonderful Christmas wreath making morning.
