"A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2014."

F: Clasped hands and searching feet.

I normally try to use a landscape image for my 52 posts of F, and as awkward as this is when viewing on a laptop, filling the expanse of white screen with it's long gritty black and grey tones, I do love everything about this photo. The awkwardness as a viewer is reflected in the awkwardness of F's pose, as he navigates the climbing frame for the first time, unsure of his footing yet determined to master the ropes. As you scroll down you see a different section of the image, allowing a different view of the challenge he faced. So many times I thought whether to crop this image and highlight different viewpoints, but I love the energy too much in it too much. It has perfectly captured his 'can do' attitude of late, fearless and ready to tackle anything. This boy of mine.
