A GOOD BOOK // Penguin in Peril

'With bare cupboards and hungry bellies, three cats steal a penguin to catch fish for them. A hilarious sequence of events unfolds as the penguin makes his escape…' Templar Publishing

There's something about walking into a book shop, browsing the shelves and delving into a good book that beats the click of a mouse hands down. When I wasn't exploring rock pools or climbing trees as a kid, I could always be found curled round the pages of my favourite read. The stories and illustrations called to me and I have been steadily collecting them since my early 20's. Finally I have someone to share my excitement with and my books. So rather than curl up with a cuppa, I curl up with F and watch those big eyes soak it all in.

Helen Hancock's 'Penguin in Peril' is our newest addition. F nabbed it off the shelf and promptly settled down to explore it's beautifully illustrated pages. After hearing his deep belly laugh (those are the best kind) rising from it's fold, the only place for this book was beside his bed.
